There’s no more enjoyable way to get to know people than at a party, and the people of Kaua‘i are great about sharing their culture through a SLEW OF FESTIVALS that seem to keep the fun going year- round Please note that some events may be revised due to COVID-19 restrictions.

WAIMEA TOWN CELEBRATION : This event has been staged every year for more than four decades now. Enjoy this nine-day festival (it begins President’s Day weekend) that features the Waimea Film Festival, foodie events, cultural events, the King Kaumuali‘i Celebration and lots of live music,

ANAHOLA PRINCE KŪHIŌ DAY CELEBRATION : This annual event honors Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole and his legacy of perpetuating the growth of health Hawaiian communities on homestead lands. The event, held at Anahola Beach Park, kicks off with a ho‘okupu (offering) protocol ceremony, followed by a day filled with educational and cultural activities including live music, hula performances and food and craft booths. It’s typically slated for mid-March, around the time of the prince’s birthday.

HANAPĒPĒ ART NIGHT : This event is a favorite for art lovers, where people could wander through “Kaua‘i’s Biggest Little Town,” Hanapēpē during its Hanapēpē Art Night, held on Friday evenings.

OLD TOWN KAPA‘A ART WALK : Check out some great art at the Kapa‘a’s Art Walk, 5-9 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Main street is lined with vendors showing off their work as musicians entertain everyone. For more information, go to *All event dates and times are subject to change.
