Those wanting some canine companionship to explore Maui’s pet-friendly outdoor wonders can “check out” a shelter dog for the day. Visitors can take Beach Buddies out every Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dogs are available on a fi rst-come, fi rst-served basis.
