It’s a feel-good experience at Dillingham Airfield in Mokulē‘ia on O‘ahu’s North Shore, where PARADISE AIR offers “flight plans” that range from 30 to 60 minutes on engine- powered gliders, or trikes. These flights are hands-on, and are actual flying lessons. Pilots will show guests the basics of trike flying while taking in the sights of the North Shore. Not sure if you’re ready to “take the wheel,” so to speak? There’s no pressure, but most people will choose to take the controls at least for part of their flight, and you can bring home some bragging rights with photo and/ or video services available for each flight plan.
