Party With the Locals

MauiRomance & After Dark

“Lucky We Live Wailuku” is the motto of WAILUKU’S FIRST FRIDAY events that celebrate local flair and offerings each month. Hit MARKET STREET on any first Friday of the month to check out the town’s block-party event. Musical and dance performances are held in the WAILUKU BANYAN TREE PARK, and street-side booths feature local artists and foods, with crafts available for purchase.

This event is free to town members and visitors alike. Market Street is closed from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for the gathering, so make sure you show up in time to find parking and catch all the fun. Also be prepared to check out nearby shows or restaurants afterward, since the party doesn’t stop when the street reopens.

The town of KIHEI also gets in on the action with its monthly FOURTH FRIDAY CELEBRATION, as do two other Valley Isle towns that recently partnered with the county to launch the MAUI FRIDAY TOWN PARTIES.

The town of KIHEI also gets in on the action with its monthly FOURTH FRIDAY CELEBRATION, as do two other Valley Isle towns that recently partnered with the county to launch MAUI FRIDAY TOWN PARTIES. LAHAINA’S PARTY is set for the second Friday of each month, and MAKAWAO is set for the third Friday. Expect specials at stores and eateries, live ENTERTAINMENT and maybe even SPECIAL TOURS, like free candlelight tours of the Baldwin Home.

Each town has its own personality, making each town party a different celebration to be had. For more information, log on to www.mauifridays.com
