Tour an Octopus Farm

Beyond the CityBig Island

Over-fi shing of the ocean and sustainability are two issues that are near and dear to many people in Hawai‘i and around the world. KANALOA OCTOPUS FARM aims to address at least one part of that issue by raising cephalopods for aquariums, researchers and saltwater aquarium hobbyists. Farming octopi (the farm also raises live squid and cultivates soft corals) in captivity helps to reduce the strain on our oceans. Kanaloa Octopus Farm now off ers tours at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Each tour is approximately an hour long. Book tours online at KANAOLA OCTOPUS FARM 808-747-6895
